I took Strategic Communications Writing during the course of my spring 2023 semester. During the semester, I learned about the different kinds of writing for various companies/businesses while also using the knowledge learned in class to create my own forms of strategic content. For this course, I was assigned to choose an organization and use it for course projects the duration of the semester. For my organization, I chose The Nature Conservancy, an international organization dedicated to conservation and preservation. Through my projects, you'll learn a bit about the organization while seeing the incorporation of course topics into my work.

In the beginning of the semester, I was instructed to choose an organization and perform an analysis on the organization. I was already familiar on the topic, however, this challenged me to branch out and research more than I had in previous courses.

News Release
My second assignment was based on creating a news release for the organization I had chosen! I was instructed to choose an event from the organization and create my own news release in proper formatting.

Guest Newspaper
Column
For this assignment, I created my own guest newspaper column about a topic my organization would involve themselves in. For my column, I chose the topic of sustainability.
Content Marketing
As my final project, I was challenged with creating content to market my organization. I find myself interest in social media, so I opted to create an Instagram reel script to push for volunteering!
