Marketing Principles and Problems
This course solidified my understanding of marketing and business terminology. During the duration of the semester, I studied various marketing perspectives and was challenged with determining effective marketing strategies in various scenarios. To conclude the semester, I created a final project creating my own company and a marketing plan to help my business succeed!
Final Project
Project Inspiration
The above is my PowerPoint for my final project. I chose a vitamin subscription brand after finding myself struggling with keeping my vitamins stocked as I pushed through my freshman year of college. This was my initial motivation, but I found even more motivation later on after finding that many have a similar struggle to mine. Throughout the creation of the project, I used my own personal struggles and took the opportunity to speak to others about vitamin use to gain more insight on my target audience and marketing preferences associated with those audiences. Once I finished all of my research, I was finally ready to start my presentation. I designed and curated a brand that is attractive to the everyday consumer, but targets college-aged kids up to mid-30s. In addition to my target audience, I wanted to ensure the accessibility of my service dependent upon means of transportation as a large portion of my audience (college students) might not have cars accessible to them. The ad concept portion of the project was my favorite as I find myself to be increasingly interested in social media as a platform to market. It was important for the ad to be trendy, eye-catching, and easy to understand. Another important factor was building a company the public could trust, especially being health oriented.
