Leadership and Events Management
Over the course of the Spring 2023 semester, I had the privilege to take COMM323 as my leadership course of LeADERS. Throughout the semester, we were assigned readings and various tasks that challenged us to utilize the knowledge learned in class on real life events while also encouraging the creation of our own event for a local business of our choosing. Among the topics learned, my personal favorites were multi-channel marketing, leadership styles, and event planning. In these projects, you'll see how I was able to use the knowledge gained to interpret, analyze, and create events!
Through this course, I gained a deeper understanding of how leadership varies amongst people based on their personal qualities and how different types of leadership can be applied in various types of events. Additionally, I learned more about the process of creating events and the types of considerations that play a role in creating events.
This course was relevant to my future endeavors by giving me an understanding of the event creation, the roles and factors in event planning, and leadership styles that I can utilize in my future roles.
