COMM 310 Strategic Communication Campaigns
For my service learning course, I took COMM 310 Strategic Communication Campaigns. This course requires you to work in a group for the duration of the semester with a nonprofit organization to create a campaign based on their organizational needs. Through this course, I've learned the value of service learning in the classroom. Additionally, I've grown an understanding of the depth and process of campaigns. This course and coursework will be relevant to my future because it allowed me the opportunity to work with a real organization to create a valuable campaign.
Campaign Scramble
Research and Goals
The campaign scramble assignment was intended for us to grasp the concepts of building and executing a campaign before beginning our group projects for the semester. I chose Drunk Elephant as my brand and centered my campaign about a popular topic surrounding them within the media.
The research and goals portion of my group's campaign was our first chance to dive into what we wanted to accomplish for our client. After hearing their purpose and needs, we formulated an organizational sketch, SMART goals and a rough sketch for our campaign.
