This assignment is for COMM 333 Persuasion. For this assignment, I was challenged to critically analyze five advertisements from a brand of my choosing using the various motivational appeals I learned about in COMM 333 Persuasion. This also includes the effectiveness of the brand and how these advertisements affected their reputation. I chose Aerie as my brand.
From this assignment, I learned about how brand's use motivational appeals in their advertising to gain the attention of their consumers and persuade them to take a specific action, in my case, purchasing items from the brand. In specific, I learned about how my brand tells their own story through advertising and how they choose to set themselves apart from other brands when using persuasive motivational appeals.
